Charcuterie plates are the star of holiday parties, family gatherings, and leisurely afternoons at home. I love keeping my freezer stocked with some Ramstead Ranch salami and german sausage so that I can whip up a snack platter in no time at all! Bonus... while a charcuterie plate may look fancy, they come together in a snap and are sure to impress your loved ones! Use our list below for inspiration as you build your next grazing board.

Charcuterie Plate Suggestions:
- Meat: Ramstead Ranch salami, bologna, and/or German sausage links, cut in rounds. The are all fully cooked but, if you like them with a crips bite, you can fry them up, too!
- Vehicles: Toasted garlic bread, fresh French bread or sourdough, and/or crackers of your choice
- Cheeses: A good rule of thumb is to have one classic cheese, one soft goat cheese, and one sharper or more adventurous bite. We love sharp cheddar for classic, and herbed or cranberry goat cheese around the holidays, and a pecorino or parmesan (which is particularly delish with honey and pears) for your statement cheese
- Vegetables: In the winter, we love to add cornichons, pickled dilly beans, or garlic pickled carrots. When produce is coming in from the garden, the world is your oyster! Cucumbers, carrots and bell peppers are all crowd pleasers that go well with a wide variety of textures and flavors.
- Fruit: Apples, pears, and grapes are classic charcuterie board favorites. If you want to mix things up a bit, fresh berries are also a great idea, and they pair well with goat cheese too.
- Dips & Spreads: Honey, fig or quince jam, and pepper jellies are all good choices! When in doubt, stick with honey. No one is ever upset about eating honey with their cheese. TIP: If you serve fried German sausage rounds, be sure to include a sharp or spicy mustard to accompany them!
- Fun stuff: Salted or herbed nuts, chocolate, dried fruits, and fresh garnishing herbs will all add pops of color and flavor to your charcuterie board.
Simply pick a favorite (or two or three, depending on the crowd you're feeding) from each category above and assemble on your favorite plate or cutting board.... then sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy!
