Your questions, answered
When will my order arrive?
We ship orders weekly. Order by 11:59 PM on Sunday, and we'll pack and ship your order Tuesday. When you create your free account, you'll be given an estimated delivery date based on your location, either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. On rare occasions, shipments are delayed.
What if I'm not home?
FedEx will leave your order at the front door in an insulated box. Just unpack your items quickly when you get home.
How is it delivered?
We use FedEx ground delivery. You will receive a tracking number after we process your order on Tuesday.
How is my order packed?
We pack your order here on the farm. The contents are shipped frozen and carefully packaged in an insulated box so food stays frozen even if you’re not home when it is delivered.
How much does delivery cost?
Shipping is included, but we charge a handling fee based on your location, either $10 or $20. All orders over $159 ship free--no handling fee. (Minimum order $99 required.)
When will my card be charged?
Because many items are priced by the pound we will not know your exact total until your order is packed on Tuesday. We will send your receipt along with tracking information after we pack your order and charge your card.
Can I send meat to my friends and family?
Of course! Just change the delivery address during checkout. Our only limitation is that we currently only ship within FedEx 3-day ground area. You can check our delivery range using their zip code. Follow the steps listed here. (Click to check friends/family zip code.)
Ordering Policies
Order totals are estimated
Since many items are priced by the pound, your final total may be a little more or less than your order's initial estimated total. Once finalized, your total will be charged to your credit card on file and your receipt will be emailed.
Payment is required before delivery
We accept all major credit/debit cards as our sole payment method for shipped orders. At the time of placing your first order you will be prompted to add a credit card to your account. Once finalized, your order's total will be charged to your card on file and your receipt will be emailed.
Short stock items
Please understand that Ramstead Ranch is a small farm, not a large warehouse. If an item becomes unavailable your final total as well as any applicable delivery fees will be reduced.
