RECIPE: Cranberry Sauce

This sauce can accompany either poultry or ham to make that foody photo-op centerpiece for any holiday meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 c water
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 c whole cranberries, washed and sorted. Or substitute 1 c raspberries, blueberries, or huckleberries in place of 1 c cranberries.
  • 2-4 Tbsp corn starch

Directions:

  1. Combine water sugar and corn starch in sauce pan.
  2. Bring to boil and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add berries.  
  4. Simmer berries, stirring gently until berries are translucent and sauce is thickening.
  5. Chill and serve.
