Elevated Sausage Puffs
Think of these as the grown up cousin to pigs in a blanket. Good cheese, fresh herbs, and a hint of dijon all add a touch of sophistication to pair with the comforting, savory notes of Ramstead Ranch sausage and buttery puff pastry. These are the perfect finger food for parties and pot lucks!

Ingredients

  • (1 pack) Country Sausage Links
  • (1 pack) Puff Pastry, thawed
  • (1/2 cup) Grated cheese (white cheddar, gruyere, ect.)
  • (to taste) Dijon mustard
  • (to taste) Fresh herbs, chopped

Directions

  1. On a lightly floured surface, gently roll out your puff pastry.
  2. Spread on a thin layer of dijon mustard and sprinkle with fresh herbs of choice.
  3. Cut pastry into 1 inch strips and spiral wrap each sausage link.
  4. Bake according to puff pastry instructions on a baking sheet lined in parchment.
  5. About halfway through the bake time, sprinkle each sausage puff with cheese and return to the oven until cheese is melted and pastry is brown and crisp.
  6. Serve with a drizzle of hot honey or some maple syrup for dipping!
