Best Baked Beans
I like to make an extra big (triple!) batch of these beans and freeze them in Souper Cubes so that I always have an easy side on hand. They go great with ribs, brisket, burgers, brats, and more!

Ingredients

  • (1 pack) Country Sausage
  • (diced) 1 small onion
  • (minced) 3 cloves garlic
  • (3) Cans of beans of choice (I like a tri-bean blend)
  • (1.5 cups) BBQ sauce
  • (1/2 cup) Ketchup
  • (1 Tbs) Mustard
  • (1/4 cup) Brown sugar
  • (to taste) Apple cider vinegar
  • (to taste) Sat & Pepper

Directions

  1. Brown sausage in a pot, then lower temp and add onion and garlic, stirring frequently until fragrant and cooked through. 
  2. Drain beans and add to your pot with all other measured ingredients, stirring well. 
  3. Allow beans to simmer and thicken on low heat, stirring often. 
  4. Once beans are warmed through, add salt, pepper, and a splash of ACV, then taste and add more according to your preferences! We like about ¼ cup of ACV in ours. 
  5. Once the mixture has reached your desired thickness, remove from heat. At this point, you can serve, pop them in the fridge for later, or freeze.
