Best Baked Beans

I like to make an extra big (triple!) batch of these beans and freeze them in Souper Cubes so that I always have an easy side on hand. They go great with ribs, brisket, burgers, brats, and more!

Ingredients
- (1 pack) Country Sausage
- (diced) 1 small onion
- (minced) 3 cloves garlic
- (3) Cans of beans of choice (I like a tri-bean blend)
- (1.5 cups) BBQ sauce
- (1/2 cup) Ketchup
- (1 Tbs) Mustard
- (1/4 cup) Brown sugar
- (to taste) Apple cider vinegar
- (to taste) Sat & Pepper
Directions
- Brown sausage in a pot, then lower temp and add onion and garlic, stirring frequently until fragrant and cooked through.
- Drain beans and add to your pot with all other measured ingredients, stirring well.
- Allow beans to simmer and thicken on low heat, stirring often.
- Once beans are warmed through, add salt, pepper, and a splash of ACV, then taste and add more according to your preferences! We like about ¼ cup of ACV in ours.
- Once the mixture has reached your desired thickness, remove from heat. At this point, you can serve, pop them in the fridge for later, or freeze.
