Sheep Shearing Day

March 4, 2017, 7:45am-5pm approx.

Experience a fun-filled work day on a regenerative ranch.  We’ll be shearing the beautiful handspinning fleeces from 60+ sheep, and we need volunteers to help.  This is a fun day of farming camaraderie, and the more hands, the merrier!

Our day starts at 8am and we work until all of the sheep are shorn—plan to stay until 5pm or later.  We will provide you with a hot lunch and warm drinks throughout the day.

No experience is necessary – we’ll teach you all you need to know!  This is light-duty work and a chance to observe a professional shearer in action.  You’ll learn all about growing great wool, how handspinners prepare it for use, and share ideas with other farm friendly folks.

If you plan to come, please RSVP.  Write eileen@ramsteadranch.com or call 509.442.4725  We'll send you more details about the day/local accommodations.  We’d love to see you here!
